A look at 20th and 21st century labyrinths in use in different settings. The revival of walking labyrinths has found favour in many situations and contexts. In the United Kingdom a growing number of labyrinths are being built in institutional settings such as hospitals, hospices, schools, colleges and universities. In these settings they are used as paths of reflection, healing, peace and learning. Places such as religious buildings and retreat and spirituality centres are building labyrinths as a tool for contemplation, meditation and prayer.
